Reports
Open ready reports about your devices, policies, apps and changes, filter and group them, export them and save your own.
Reports answer common questions about your tenant, ready to read. Open Reports in the sidebar. Every report reads the data Kairavo has collected for the selected tenant.
The ready reports
The Reports page starts with twelve report cards. Each card shows the headline number of the report, for example how many devices are noncompliant.
| Report | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Compliance | Which devices are not compliant and when their grace period ends. |
| Inactive devices | Devices that have not checked in for a number of days. |
| Operating systems | Which OS versions run in the fleet and which builds are oldest. |
| Encryption | Devices that are not encrypted, by platform and owner. |
| Device inventory | Manufacturers, models, ownership, enrollment type and storage. |
| Enrollment and Autopilot | New enrollments, Autopilot devices not enrolled and devices per profile. |
| App deployment | Which apps install and which fail, per app. |
| Configuration health | Profiles with errors or conflicts, and the devices behind them. |
| Change history | Who changed what, by week, type and family, including deletions. |
| Unassigned and orphaned | Policies and apps without assignments, or assigned to deleted groups. |
| Expiring tokens and connectors | Apple tokens that expire soon and connectors that need attention. |
| Windows security | Windows devices with antivirus, firewall or threat issues. |
Click a card to open the report. A report has three parts:
- Summary: the key numbers and a chart. Use the chart type buttons above the chart to switch between the chart kinds that fit the data.
- Controls: filters, search, columns and group by.
- Table: the rows. Click a column header to sort by it.
The header shows Updated with the age of the data. To see where the data comes from, open More actions (the three dots) and select Show details. The details list the data, where it is read from, the data time and the query.
Select All reports to go back to the Reports page.
Filter a report
Filters sit in the row above the table.
- Quick filters: each report has chips for its most useful columns, such as Platform or Ownership. Click a chip, then tick the values you want to keep. Each value shows how many rows have it. Select Show all to clear the chip.
- Day ranges: some reports have a chip with a number of days. For example, Inactive devices has Not checked in for, and Enrollment and Autopilot has Enrolled in the last. Pick 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days.
- Search: type in the Search box. The report updates after a short pause.
- Any column: select Filter, pick a Column and a Condition, enter a value if the condition needs one, and select Add filter. The new filter appears as a chip. Select the x on the chip to remove it.
The conditions depend on the column type:
| Column type | Conditions |
|---|---|
| Text | contains, is, is not, is not set, is set |
| Number | at least, at most, equals, is not set |
| Yes or no | is Yes, is No, is Unknown |
| Date | more than N days ago, in the last N days, is not set |
Select Reset to return to the report's original filters.
Choose columns
Select Columns.
Tick the columns you want to see and clear the ones you do not need. At least one column stays visible.
Use the arrows next to a visible column to move it left or right.
Group rows
Select a column in Group by to count the rows per value, for example devices per platform. The table then shows one row per group and the chart follows the grouping.
Click a group value in the table to see the rows in that group. Set Group by back to None to show every row again.
Export to CSV, HTML or PDF
Set the filters, columns and grouping you want in the file.
Select Export. On a ready report it is the main button in the header. On a custom report, open More actions first.
Choose CSV for a spreadsheet, HTML page or PDF document.
An export contains up to 10,000 rows.
- CSV holds every exported row.
- HTML and PDF are formatted documents with the summary numbers, the chart and the table. Their table shows the first 2,000 rows and says so when there are more. Use CSV for every row.
The page itself shows up to 1,000 rows. When a report has more, the table footer says "Export CSV for every row."
Save a report to My reports
Save a report when you want to come back to the same filters, columns and grouping.
On a ready report, open More actions and select Save as my report. On a custom report, select Save report.
Enter a Report name.
Select Save to My reports.
The report now appears under My reports on the Reports page. Open it from there. When you change a saved report, select Save changes to keep the changes.
Create a custom report
A custom report starts from a data set instead of a ready question.
On the Reports page, select New report.
Choose what the report is about:
- Devices: managed devices with platform, compliance, owner and storage.
- Policies: policies with type, platform, assignments and device results.
- Apps: managed apps with type, publisher, assignments and installs.
- Changes: configuration changes with who made them and when.
- Autopilot: Autopilot devices with enrollment state and profile.
The report opens with default columns. Add filters, pick columns and set a Group by to build the chart.
Select Save report to keep it in My reports.
Add a report to a dashboard
Open the report and set it up the way you want it on the dashboard.
Select Add to dashboard.
Choose Chart to add the report's chart, or Number to add its headline number.
Pick the Dashboard and select Add to dashboard. If the tenant has no dashboard yet, Kairavo creates one named Reports.
A message confirms where the tile went. Select Open dashboard to see it. You can also add saved reports from the dashboard gallery, see Dashboards.
